State and Federal Collaboration
The Water Authority actively engages on legislation, regulatory issues, and administrative initiatives in Sacramento and Washington, D.C., to communicate the Water Authority Board of Directors’ policies and positions to state and federal legislators and government officials. The Board of Directors and staff work closely with state and federal decision makers to advance the Water Authority’s objectives and promote key regional initiatives.
Policy Guidelines
Each year, the Water Authority Board of Directors adopts updated Legislative Policy Guidelines to provide guidance on issues of importance and a framework to evaluate legislative and regulatory issues.
