Adding and Editing documents is done using default Blocks. There are two main options for adding or editing files, which are blocks for File and Download List
File
- Within Dashboard, choose Page or Post you’d like to add or edit
- Select + for new Block and choose or Search for File Block
- Choose option to Upload or select from existing Media Library
- Within Block Settings in right Sidebar:
- Toggle Show download button on or off. This option will either display default button or you can just link to text (uses document title)
- Toggle Open in new tab to do so or default will open file in existing tab
Download List
Use the Download List when adding multiple documents
- Within Dashboard, choose Page or Post you’d like to add or edit
- Select + for new Block and choose or Search for Download List Block
- Select the edit (Pencil) option within new block to bring up options
- Select Add A Doc button
- Document options now appear including:
- Select Doc Type Icon to display (PDF, Word, Excel or Link)
- Choose Link Label (What shows to the right of the icon)
- Select Add File button to choose or upload desired Document
- Add as many docs for downloads as you need to. Please always use the media library option so that you can manage files.
