Public agencies make bidding easier for contractors
On Sept. 20, 2007 several large, regional public agencies will host the ninth annual Paths to Partnerships Networking Forum. This forum will feature discussion forums focusing on water, wastewater, transportation, education, development, and how to do business with the state of California. In addition part of the afternoon will be dedicated to contractor, consultant, vendor, and public agency exhibits. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with key decision makers and industry experts, and receive a two-year look-ahead of upcoming public agency projects.
Water Authority General Manager Responds to Release of Draft Bay Delta Conservation Plan
The California Natural Resources Agency on Thursday released the first four of 12 draft chapters of the Bay Delta Conservation Plan (BDCP). The plan proposes new water intakes and tunnels and habitat restoration to reverse the decline of native fish populations in the Delta and provide reliable water deliveries for two-thirds of California’s population and much of the state’s agricultural economy.
